He worked for a mixed animal practice for 4 years caring for dog and cats as well as farm animals. He works with the New Haven Central Hospital as well as the Veterinary Wellness Center doing both surgical and medical duties.

When not doing veterinary work, Dr MacKay loves to spend time with his kids and participating in all of their activities. He enjoys many outdoor activities where he can involve his dog, Fisher.
