Frequently Asked Questions

Which vaccines are legally required for my pet in Connecticut?
Rabies is the only vaccine required by state law in Connecticut for both dogs and cats, regardless of whether they go outdoors.
Rabies is required by law regardless. We also recommend FVRCP for all cats — respiratory viruses can enter through windows, on clothing, or at boarding facilities. FeLV depends on your cat’s specific exposure risk.
Not necessarily. DA2PP is on a 3-year schedule for adult dogs after the initial series. We track due dates in your pet’s record. If you’re unsure, a titer test can tell us whether protection is already adequate.
Lepto is a bacterial infection spread through the urine of infected wildlife — common in Connecticut near ponds, streams, and wooded areas. We recommend it for dogs who spend time outdoors, even in suburban yards.
Yes — we can print a current vaccine record on letterhead, usually the same day. This is often needed for boarding, daycare, or groomers.
